I was really surprised with this app! If youre willing to pay for the full books versions you will have the best Yijing translations and the handier way ever of reading them all. Really happy the purchase. obs. Without buying the extra books you will have a good app, but regular content. My 5 stars are for the app and the extra books.

Thanks for finally creating an app that makes the use of the iChing so accessible and comprehensive !! Finally, an implementation that takes advantage of a modern platform to improve the entire experience of this ancient methodology. The ability to access your choice of the main definitive translations, and the ability to record your results along with notes for later reference make this app a must have for beginners and for scholars.

Lately the app crashes a lot. Also please developers implement a way to delete the whole history in one shot! Maybe that is why crashes, too much data. Will change my review when the problems are fixed.

I am an I Ching user for 40 years. At first I was skeptical of this app, but, what the hell, its only $5?? What a surprise! Its really clever and very helpful. It includes 4 commentaries. But something was missing. I am very familiar with the Richard Wilhelm version and the R.L. Wing version. After a couple of days I discovered that these commentaries are available as apps within the app. (look under Store). They cost $5 & $7 respectively. Well worth it considering the book costs. So with these 2 commentaries I feel complete.

the best yi jing software I have ever used. easy to use, good journaling capability, many books (free or paid) and consultation methods to choose from. the bad: exporting via email is very weak. app sometimes crashes.

Different ways to cast . Many interpretations ( comes with four) with a built in store to get more . Its good to look at all the interpretations to gain a better underlying meaning . I also like the journal of the previous castings .

I love this app. Anyone trying to decide which I Ching to get should put this at the top of their list - its accessible and authoritative, with a great interface you can tailor to suit. Links to a helpful selection of texts lets you choose a voice and tone that suit you. Costs a few dollars more, but well worth it.

Ive been using this app for over a year, and it has been absolutely wonderful. The only problem is that if it is used on more than one device (e.g. an iPhone and an iPad), then the journal is not synced. This makes it difficult to go back and review past answers and get a sense of continuity. Dropbox support for the journal would be extremely welcome in that respect.

This app is simply wonderful. It enhances everything about using the I Ching has a tool for divination. It is priced right and allows you to purchase all of the most excellent translations--e.g. Balkin and Huang. Allows you to use multiple methods of generating a hexagram including manual input and automatically finds the primary and secondary hexagrams and produces a reading using whatever text you want. This makes interacting with and studying the I Ching a pleasure. No other app or indeed standalone text comes close to producing the same enriching experience. The UI is dated but the app continues to work almost flawlessly under iOS 7. The only problem I have encounters is that the text of the summaries sometimes becomes too large and is clipped, so that one has to navigate away from the summary and return to it to restore the normal sized text. Whenever I encounter an app that uses pre iOS 7 conventions I worry that they may become abandon ware. I sincerely hope that is not the case with this app. I would gladly pay more to see this app continue its development. It is peerless.

Ive had this app for 6 years now (!) and its the one app that I cant live without. The translated reference sources are varied, insightful and clear, and provide variety of perspectives. The sources range from modern interpretation (with multi language support) to classical versions in Chinese (character and phonetic systems). The UI is clear and highly functional, and is well maintained by the developer with regular updates. This one app has gradually replaced every single book I had on the subject. Highly recommended.

This is the most comprehensive I Ching app in the store. It really is worth the money. I only give 4 stars because I would like to see the app modernized otherwise it is a 5 star app.

Great app. Very well done. The only thing needed for an easy 5 star rating, is a iOS 9/10 retina update. Please fix that so that iPhone 6/6s Plus, and iPad Pro models can capably make use of it more easily.

It worked fine before, now it freezes, crashes, and doesnt respond to any touch.

I am on the iPhone 5. This app was amazing prior to the most recent update. Since then, it crashes immediately as soon as I open it. Its my favorite app; I hope its fixed very soon.

App no longer works on my iPhone 4s since update, was fine before. Please fix it, thanks! Quick response & working on fix so will update review later.

Used to run fine but the newest update wont even install on my 4S with newest iOS. FAIL.
